Harvest Co-op Market, New Arboretum Store, Jamaica Plain, Boston
This third annual Mass Bay
Co-op Faire
is set for Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 am to
2:00 pm at
Harvest Co-op's new Arboretum store, 3815 Washington St. in Jamaica Plain, a
block south of the Forest Hills T-stop. The Faire provides local co-ops with an opportunity to showcase themselves. In 2011, we
had 20 different co-ops. In 2012, the Faire was held in conjunction with the International Day for Cooperatives and there 29 co-ops were represented (see the 2012 participant page for a list and links to their web sites).
In addition to
learning about co-ops of all types (consumer, worker, agricultural, housing,
etc.), participants can enjoy conversations with others interested in
cooperative economics and sample food.
